Dr Baber Khan - dentist in bexleyheath

Baber qualified from Barts and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2005. He joined Crook Log Dental Practice in 2006 and became co-principal dentist in 2009.

In 2007, he was awarded the Ruby Austin Shield for best case presentation at the end of his Foundation Year training.

In 2008 he gained his MFGDP qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Certificate in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. He is a registered member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

In 2012 Baber was accepted as a Foundation Year Trainer, a prestigious position where he is responsible for the in-house training of newly qualified dentists.

In 2013 he completed his Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons and was selected as the Dentsply prize winner for his cohort.

He has now commenced a Master of Science degree in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Leeds as part of his continual academic development.

His main interests lie in Endodontics and Aesthetic dentistry. In his spare time Baber enjoys travelling, reading and meeting up with friends

Dr Semina Younis - dentist in Bexleyheath

Semina qualified with honours from Barts and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2005. She gained her MFGDP qualification in 2007 and joined Crook Log Dental Practice in 2009. She gained her certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry in 2007.

Her main interests lie in minimally invasive restorative dentistry and cosmetic orthodontics, using clear orthodontic aligners, Inman aligners and fixed braces. She has been an avid promoter of postgraduate dental education and has recently completed a Masters in Science programme at King’s College London.

Semina enjoys promoting team training at the practice and has arranged several educational courses for all members of the practice.

Dr Wassim Chawich - dentist bexleyheath

Wassim graduated in 1993. He then worked in various hospitals and dental practices. His experience in the UK included a Senior House Officer and then a Staff Grade jobs in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery departments.

He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and then obtained a Certificate in Surgical & Prosthodontic Implantology from the Eastman Dental Institute – UCL.

In 2008 Wassim completed a specialist training programme in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute – UCL, at the end of this four-year part-time course Wassim obtained a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics and a Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Wassim is currently registered on the General Dental Council Specialist List as a Prosthodontist Specialist.

As a Prosthodontist Specialist Wassim provides simple and complex prosthodontic treatment including full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry and removable prostheses and has a special interest in Oral Surgery. Wassim accepts referrals for prosthodontic assessment and treatment and for implants including all their related surgical procedures including: Sinus Lifts, Block Grafts, Soft Tissue Grafts and lower jaw nerve repositioning.

He regularly carries out sedation (oral and intravenous) to treat nervous patients.

Dr Jigna Joshi - dentist in bexleyheath

Jigna joined Crook Log Dental Practice in 2008 after gaining her IQE qualifications in 2007. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a special interest in paedodontics (treating children).

Jigna is currently studying at the Royal College of Surgeons for her Diploma in Restorative Dentistry.

Dr Meixner graduated from King’s College London University Dental School (UK), joining Crook Log Dental Practice in 2013. In 2014 he took time out to work in the Oral and Maxillofacial department of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals, where he performed oral surgery and managed trauma patients in the Accident and Emergency department, before returning to the practice.

Dr Meixner creates a professional yet relaxed atmosphere in which patients’ feel comfortable and able to discuss any questions before, during and after treatment. He has an active interest in history and enjoys going to the many cultural events of London.

Dr Meixner began his professional dental career in 2013 at the Crook Log Dental Practice, shortly after graduating from King’s College London University Dental School (UK). In 2014 he began employment in the Oral and Maxillofacial departments of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals. Here, he performed oral surgeries and managed trauma patients in the Accident and Emergency department. Having developed his Oral Surgery skills, he returned to Crook Log Dental Practice in 2015.

Dedicated to providing the highest level of care to his patients, Dr Meixner is committed to enhancing his knowledge and skills: last year he completed the Postgraduate Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Edin). He aims to be as flexible and available as possible, by providing regular evening and weekend appointments, as well as daily emergency slots.

Dr Meixner endeavours to create a professional yet relaxed atmosphere for his patients and is on hand to answer any questions whether it be before, during or after treatment. Patient comfort is his priority.

Aside from dentistry, he has an active interest in history and enjoys all of the many cultural events that London has to offer.


Nicola Walker - dentist in bexleyheath

Nicola began her career in dentistry in 2002 as a dental nurse. In 2006 Nicola went on to qualify as a Hygiene/Therapist from Barts the Royal London University of Medicine and Dentistry gaining a Diploma in Dental Hygiene (with distinction) and a Diploma in Dental Therapy.

Nicola is keen on the study of Periodontology (the health and disease if the gums) which is also her main clinical role in the dental team.

Sarah Murnane - dentist in bexleyheath

Sarah qualified from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1992. She continued to work there for two more years as Staff Hygienist, then worked within Community Dentistry.

Having been settled into General Practice for some years, she continues to further her education by attending courses and lectures to extend her duties.

Gum disease, diagnosing, and its treatment take up most of Sarah’s working day, and she equally enjoys tooth whitening using the Zoom! system.

Christine Tang - hygienist in bexleyheath

Christine gained her dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy from the Eastman Dental Hospital, UCLH.

Since then, she has worked in various private and NHS practices in both London and Kent. To enhance her skills and patient care, Christine undertook additional training in the management of periodontal disease and teeth whitening.

She continues to update her professional education by attending further courses and is also a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
